It is possible to find fresh fish for a great price! My new favorite place is the epitome of a great food shack in a highly touristy area of the island.

La Cambija in Rincón is modestly located in front of a house on a very busy road. Please don’t let this keep you from eating here; the staff is friendly and the ambiance is laid back enough to go in shorts, flip flops and a sand filled bathing suit.

Fish tacos, fish burritos, fish kabobs and cedar planked fish fillets! Did I mention that all the fish is fresh and most of these dishes cost less than $10 a plate?

Well yes sir/ma’am, I had two Wahoo tacos for less than $10, a fresh Tuna skewer for less than $5 and a Mahi-Mahi burrito for less than $9!

Oh! And if you are not into fish… the skirt steak special with sautéed potatoes is really good too. The Menu also offers chicken or beef nachos, ‘supreme’ fries and home made tostones.

The watermelon mojitos are a must if you enjoy a deliciously smelling and super tasty sweet drink!
